The Governor’s office, headed by His Excellency, plays a pivotal role in Adamawa State, overseeing the implementation of state laws and the functioning of the executive branch and various government agencies.
As the 15th Governor of the State, the office is responsible for advancing and pursuing new and revised policies and programs. This involves utilizing a range of tools, including executive orders, budget management, as well as proposing and vetoing legislative initiatives.

The establishment of the Adamawa State Ministry of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development traces its origins to the enactment of Edict No. 43 in 1954, a significant milestone further refined by the amendments introduced through Edict No. 16 in 1981.
